The “V” in GTV stands for VERSATILE. Developed over two years across varied fields, this dedicated GT rod handles both shore and offshore fishing. Its 8 ft 6 in length stays manageable on a boat while providing casting distance and line-mending reach from the rocks.

It combines the flexibility to repeat full casts beyond 80–100 m all day with the power required for large GT. With 88% carbon content, the blank carries strength from butt to belly in an action leaning toward regular-fast.

Repeated testing in crosswinds and headwinds led to guide sizing and placement that reduce line wrap. The moderately supple blank also limits unwanted lure action during casting and jerking for easier control.

The reel seat sits slightly toward the butt with a long foregrip. The rod absorbs a GT’s surge without folding too deeply, while reserve power in the butt supports drag control and pumping.
